QUESTION: The OURCAR site has a very different format to its competitors - why is this?

ANSWER: Our market research page, which brings 1000's of returns each month, shows that 70% of site visitors have little if any real computer experience, and most find the format of database search websites far too complex, as well as very limiting. They are limiting because a prospect is required to enter their postcode (and sometimes their email address) then name a single model of car, a price range, and a traveling distance. If he selects a price range up to £5000, he will not be offered a car at £5025 although it could be exactly what he is looking for. In the same way his ideal car could be a mile outside his selected traveling distance, so he will not be offered that one either! Its marketing overkill, not to mention an invitation to receive lots of spam mail. In marked contrast, the OURCAR format is uniquely simple and site visitors remain completely anonymous. Dealers do not even need a website address ! - one click on the dealers name brings up their stock list with photos of the cars, allowing buyers to see every model, at every price - its as good as walking round the showroom - although we still include a search option to find a specific model, should you wish to use it. Thats why OURCAR is so different, so effective, and so popular!
