QUESTION: We are
contracted to a
car magazine website / or have our own 'stand alone' website - can we
be on the OURCAR site as well? |
|
ANSWER: Most
certainly - many of our clients have other websites - some have 3
or 4. A
website is simply a form of advertising media, and just as you may advertise in a number of different newspapers
to
obtain better coverage, you can use more than one website for the same reason.
There is no confliction with any existing website address you may have,
because visitors simply click on your normal business name in our index.

| Dont
most dealers only have one website? |
|
4 - 5 years ago the
answer to that might have been yes, but as more dealers
discover the benefit of internet advertising (50% of all car
sales originate from the internet), the use of more than one website is commonplace.
Most
of our clients have cut back on expensive print media advertising, and
rely much more on the internet.
|
| Do
different websites cover different areas? |
|
Surprisingly the answer can be
YES. The
internet has world wide coverage, but most buyers wish to buy
from a reputable dealer without having to travel a vast
distance. We therefore intensely target one major catchment area -
West Greater London and surrounding areas (the busiest business area in the UK) which is
probably where 90% of your prospects live. The site is still seen
nationwide (and worldwide!) of course, so when you offer an unusual car,
a prospect in Glasgow may wish to contact you!
